The Municipality of Tripolis belongs to the Prefecture of Arcadia in the Peloponnese and its current form is due to the consolidation of the former municipalities of central Arcadia: Valtetsi, Corithiou, Levidi, Mantineia, Skritida, Tegea, Tripoli and Falanthos, according to the Kallikratis program.
