The Municipality of Ermionis belongs to the Prefecture of Peloponnese, and its present form exists with the consolidation of the former municipalities of Ermioni and Kranidi, according to the Kallikratis program.
The area of ​​the municipality is 417.59km2 and has a population of 13.551 inhabitants, based on the 2011 census.
The seat of the Municipality of Ermioni is Kranidi.
Ermioni is one of the most touristic parts of Argolida, as well as Portoheli, a nearby area with large hotel units. In Portocheli, underwater archaeological finds have been discovered that prove the existence of the area since ancient times.
Kranidi is a town surrounded by the Hermione peninsula. And in Kranidi we have a great archeological interest. On the island of Korakia, west of Kranidi, a shipwreck of the 6th-7th c. The oldest complete human skeleton was found in the Franchthy cave.
